Remarkable!
This is Club member Stephen Arnold and this weekend just gone he won the overall concours for his Gilbern at the Gilbern Owners Club national meeting.
The car belonged to his father who was the second owner. Stephen, the third owner, won the same event and trophy with the same car when he entered it in 1977. In between the car was off the road for over 20 years whilst it received a complete rebuild.
The car has a A series engine with supercharger that was on the specification sheet from new from Gilbern.

Annual Riley Register ‘Coventry’ Rally weekend
Club member Andrew Croydsill returned from the Annual Riley Register ‘Coventry’ Rally weekend with a familiar trophy. Andrew wrote:
Taking place last weekend, our Rally this year focussed on the Centenary of the Riley 9 model first displayed in 1926 - though not put into production until 1927.
There was the usual range of cars from the Twenties through to the post-war RM models.
I was keen to return the rose bowl Trophy won last year at this event, awarded for the most original car attending.
Instead of regaining the space at home I came back with it having been judged the most original car yet again - from an estimated 70 or 80 cars.

One of our members, Craig, is wishing to sell his lovely blue 1952 Sunbeam Talbot.
Craig is open to offers and would donate half to Letchworth Hospice on success of sale.
The car is pictured below.
Please contact Craig, or our Chairman.

And another prize winner!
Peter Wright was out and about again winning awards - this time at a Wolseley meeting near Swindon. Peter's car is shown below sitting rather proudly by other Wolseleys.

LGCCVCC charity donation

Following the Club's recent donation of a £1,000 to the Letchworth based Garden House Hospice our Chairman met Sharon Newland, the organisation's Fundraising Coordinator.
The picture shows Sharon and David with a giant cheque showing the Club's donation.
