A ticket to ride
This idea was put forward by one of our members: taking a ride, as a passenger, in another member's car, probably just to Weston and back from The Rising Sun car park on Club night, or a 2nd Saturday at Lolleywood.
A donation could be made via the Club to the Garden House Hospice.
Worth considering, and possibly putting into practice on our next 'Second Saturday' meeting.
Luton Made: Vauxhall
For those of you that are interested in old cars, and especially Vauxhalls, there is an exhibition in the Stockwood Discovery Centre, Stockwood Park, Luton describing various aspects of the factory which has been in Luton for 125 years. The objects on display explain how the factory developed, and how people developed whilst working for Vauxhall. There are three old cars and a Bedford lorry on show in the Mossman Collection, including the first ever car made at the early factory.
It is well worth a visit.
It is free to enter and runs until 28 Jun 2026.
It is open from 11am to 5pm (closed Mondays and Tuesdays, unless it is school holidays).
The venue is cashless.
